THE CHALLENGE

Focal Point Data Risk is a cybersecurity and data risk management company. Their potential clients were having a trouble finding clear information about their services on the website. We set out to fix that. The challenge? The client’s budget only allowed for the creation of a small handful of pages.

The solution? Rather than simple designing a homepage and a handful of basic page templates, we built a page builder system that would allow the client to use modular blocks to craft any type of page they need. We took the opportunity to refresh their visual identity as well, while staying within the bounds of their existing style guide.

The Process

  1. Brand Audit

  2. User Journey Mapping

  3. Interactive Site Mapping with client

  4. Live Wireframing

  5. Responsive Mockups

Design System

Focal Point already had a set of simple brand standards;  we used this as the basis to build out a larger design system and UI kit for this modular site.

Icon Library

Since we were able to save design time by crafting this site as a set of page builder elements, we had capacity to develop a custom icon set to further differentiate FPDR’s broad set of services and processes

Focal Point Megamenu

Navigation

After restructuring the information architecture of the site, we organized it into a mega-menu that would allow users to drill down to the specific service they’re interested in as quickly as possible.

Page Builder

Our collection of page builder modules was designed to be ultra-flexible; no matter the order, the blocks always work next to each other.
